Chess Climb: Tactics Trainer

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Chess Climb does not collect any data about you.

What stays on your phone

Your puzzle history, rating, theme skills, review schedule and settings are stored only in the app's storage on your phone. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Your phone's own backups can include them, according to your backup settings: on iPhone, Apple includes this data when you back up to iCloud or a computer; on Android, Google includes it in your Android backup and when you move to a new phone.

What we collect

Nothing. Chess Climb has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party code that collects data. The app does not send any data over the internet. On Android, it doesn't even have permission to use the internet.

Crash reports and testing

On iPhone, if you turn on Share With App Developers in your iPhone's Analytics settings, or you test Chess Climb through TestFlight, Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with us, along with any feedback you send through TestFlight.

On Android, if your phone shares usage and diagnostics data with Google, Google Play may share crash reports with us. Feedback you send while testing Chess Climb through Google Play also comes to us.

Apple and Google handle this data under their own privacy policies. We use it only to fix problems.

The chess engine

When you tap Engine after a puzzle, the Arasan chess engine analyzes the position on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Exporting your history

You can export your puzzle history as a CSV file from Settings. The file goes only where you choose to send it.

Deleting your data

In Settings, tap Reset all progress, or delete the app from your phone.

Children

Chess Climb collects no data from anyone, including children.
